Travesía is a Chilean band formed in 2012 by Miguel Tapia, former drummer of Los Prisioneros. The group emerged from spontaneous jam sessions involving Tapia and his musician neighbors in Pirque: Cuban bassist Leo Fernández, Haitian-Guatemalan guitarist Rufino "Choco" Cabrera, and Brazilian-raised Chilean singer Gabriela Pozo. Travesía blends Latin American rhythms with rock and tecno-pop, drawing on Tapia's background in both genres. The band released their debut album Puerto Groove in 2014 under Chilevisión Música, featuring singles "Cordillera" and "Se me sale el indio", along with covers of popular Latin American songs. In 2016, they self-released their second album Pantón, which included tracks like "Nuestros caminos" and "Terciopelo azul".
