The Traceelords were a German rock band from Hagen, Westfalen. Formed in 1997 by Andy Brings, who previously played with Sodom, their name was derived from US porn star Traci Lords. The band initially released their first solo song on a Rock Hard sampler as the Andy Brings Band. Renaming to Andy & the Traceelords, they released Pussy! (1998) with Jörg Michael of Stratovarius. They signed with Massacre Records for their debut album, Sex, Money, Rock'n'Roll (2001). Bassist Slick Prolidol joined after several tours, including one with Twyster in 2001. The band gained attention from Roadrunner Records and became the first German act signed to the label in over a decade. Their second album Refuse to Kiss Ass was released in 2004, followed by extensive touring. In 2006, they released their third album, The Ali of Rock. The band disbanded on December 30, 2006.
