Un Pingüino en mi Ascensor is a Spanish pop band formed in Madrid during the 1980s. The group was founded by José Luis Moro, who served as the ensemble's lead singer and primary composer. Mario Gil, known for his participation in the groups La Mode and Aviador Dro, produced several of the band’s recordings. The ensemble's musical style incorporated elements of humor, sarcasm, and irony, influenced by the La Movida Madrileña movement. In April 1994, the group released the studio album En la variedad está la diversión. This was followed by the compilation 21 éxitos sin fecha de caducidad in June 1999. The band released the album El Balneario in February 2006. Moro and Gil have continued to collaborate on musical recordings and live performances throughout subsequent decades.
