Nora Fischer, a soprano singer from the Netherlands, started her musical journey at the conservatory in Amsterdam but left after one semester. She then pursued studies in musicology and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam before earning a Master's degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Fischer released the album The Secret Diary of Nora Plan (2017) on Excelsior Recordings, which featured compositions by Morris Kliphuis. In September of that year, she signed with Universal Music and released Hush, a modern interpretation of songs by Monteverdi, Purcell, and Dowland, among others, for soprano and electric guitar, on Deutsche Grammophon. Fischer has collaborated extensively with world-class orchestras and ensembles, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Kronos Quartet.
