Sator, a Swedish rock band, was founded in Borlänge, Sweden, as Sator Codex in 1981. The group initially released one album, Wanna Start A Fire? (1986), and three singles before shortening their name to Sator in 1987. This change also marked the departure of lead singer Björn Clarin and a shift in musical direction. Notable members include Kent Norberg on lead vocals and guitar, Chips Kiesbye on lead vocals and guitar, Hans Gäfvert on keyboards and samples, Heikki Kiviaho on bass and backing vocals, and Michael Solén on drums. Sator's discography includes albums such as Slammer! (1988), Stock Rocker Nuts! (1990), Headquake (1992), and Under the Radar (2011). The band also released several notable singles, including "Your Up Gets Me Down" (2011) and "Get out of My Way" (2022). Chips Kiesbye is also known for his production work with bands like The Hellacopters and Millencolin.
