I Musici de Montréal is a Canadian chamber orchestra founded in 1983 by cellist and conductor Yuli Turovsky and based in Montreal. The ensemble initially comprised 15 musicians with a repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary music. In 1987, the group was recognized as Best Chamber Orchestra of the Year by the Canadian Council for the Arts. Under Turovsky's direction, I Musici de Montréal performed extensively across Canada and internationally, including at the Festival d'été international de Québec and the Festival international de Lanaudière. The orchestra has released over 50 CDs, several of which received awards such as the Diapason d'or in 1988 for Symphony No. 14 by Shostakovich and the Juno Award in 1997 for Ginastera/Villa-Lobos/Evangelista. In 2004, they received the Prix Opus for international recognition. Jean-Marie Zeitouni served as principal conductor from May 2011 to September 2021, followed by Jean-François Rivest in 2023.
