Ahat, also known as AXAT, is a Bulgarian rock band founded in 1986 in Sofia by students from the National Academy of Music and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy. Their first live performance was on December 22, 1986. In 1989, Ahat released their debut album Походът, which included popular songs such as "The Black Sheep", "Land of Blindmen", and "The Tree". The band's second album, Изпод Руините, followed in 1994. Ahat returned to prominence in 1998 as the opening act for Deep Purple’s first concert in Bulgaria. Their subsequent live album, 7 (Седем) Години След... Live, was released in 1999. In 2004, they released the studio album, Made in USA. The band's second live album, Golden Rock Tour 2004 followed in 2007. In 2017, Ahat performed a concert at the SILA Hall in Plovdiv with Joe Lynn Turner.
