Burning Inside was a US-based metal band formed in Springfield, Missouri, in 1995. The group was founded by guitarist Steve Childers and drummer Richard Christy after they left Public Assassin. Bassist and vocalist Jamie Prim joined shortly thereafter, and the trio recorded their first self-titled demo. In 1996, Michael Estes became the second guitarist, and the band relocated to Orlando, Florida. The band's debut album, The Eve of the Entities, was released in 1999 via Still Dead Productions. The following year, it was reissued by Pavement Music. Their second full-length release, Apparition, came out in 2001 through Crash Music. In 2007, Burning Inside self-released an EP titled Burning Inside. Founding guitarist Steve Childers died in a car crash on February 2, 2016.
