IQU is an American lo-fi music group from Olympia, Washington. The band initially comprised Michiko Swiggs on keyboards, Aaron Hartman on bass, and Kento Oiwa on guitar, theremin, and turntables. Signed to Calvin Johnson's K Records label, IQU released their album Chotto Matte a Moment! in 1998. The band toured extensively with notable acts such as Unwound, Sonic Youth, and The Flaming Lips. In 1999, they collaborated with Miranda July on the EP Girls on Dates. Their third album, Teenage Dream, was released in 2000. Hartman left the band in 2000 to form Old Time Relijun. IQU continued as a duo, releasing their fourth album, Sun Q, in 2004.
