Richard Devine, from Atlanta, Georgia, is an American electronic musician and sound designer. He began using computers for composition around 1993 under the guidance of Don Hassler at the Atlanta College of Art, who introduced him to Csound and other computer-based applications. Devine's early works include the Richard Coleman Devine EP (1997) and Lipswitch (2000), both released on Schematic Records. His breakthrough came with the remix of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy", leading to a joint release by Warp Records and Schematic Records. Throughout his career, Devine has collaborated extensively with Josh Kay under the name DEVSND and designed sound patches for various software manufacturers, including Propellerhead's Reason, Battery, and Massive. He has also scored commercials and performed worldwide. Notable albums include Asect:Dsect (2003), RISP (2012), and Sort\Lave (2018).
