Maiko Nakamura, born on June 15, 1991, in Manila, Philippines, is an R&B singer of Japanese and Filipino-Spanish descent. Primarily based in Japan, she was influenced by her parents' love for Western music and began her career as a singer in 2008 with the single "Because", collaborating with LGYankees. Nakamura released her debut major-label album Cure in 2010 under No Doubt Tracks. She gained traction in Japan's digital market from 2011 onwards, reaching the top 10 on the RIAJ Digital Track Chart. Notable collaborations include working with Cliff Edge on songs like "The Answer" and "Endless Tears". She moved to King Records, releasing Answer in 2011.
