Vanessa Fernández de Córdova, known professionally as Vanexxa, was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1976. She is a singer and actress who began her career with the single "Me gustaría comerte a besos" in 1992. Vanexxa's breakthrough came in 2006 when she released her album Se Rompe O Se Raja under Subterfuge Records, which became a leader in downloads for the label. In 2008, she followed up with her second album, Ser y Vencer. Throughout her career, Vanexxa collaborated with international artists such as Julieta Venegas and Jamie Cullum. Her music was featured in the HBO series Capadocia in 2009. Beyond music, Vanexxa has also had roles in performances with the Shakespeare Foundation of Spain and appearances on television shows like Fama, ¡a bailar!.
