Fiamma Fumana, an Italian world music ensemble formed in 1999 in Northern Italy, blended traditional Italian folk music with electronica. The group initially consisted of three members: Fiamma Orlandi on vocals, Alberto Cottica on accordion, and Marco Bertoni handling electronics. Their debut album, 1.0, was released in 2001 via Omnium Records. In 2006, they released their second album, Onda. The group expanded to include Lady Jessica Lombardi on bagpipe, flute, and bass, Medhin Paolos on vocals and electronics, and Missy Jay as a DJ. Fiamma Fumana performed at notable events such as the WOMAD festival in 2001, the CMJ music marathon, and the Detroit Festival of the Arts in 2002. The group disbanded in 2009.
