Cyril Achard, born on May 6, 1972, in Aix‑en‑Provence, France, is a French guitarist who began learning jazz at thirteen. He first gained attention with the power‑trio Morbid Feeling, reaching the final of Class'Rock 1992, and later joined Arrakeen, contributing to the 1992 album Mosaïque. His solo debut, Confusion (1997), blended rock fusion and jazz. In 2001, he founded the Morbid Feeling and released ...In Inconstancia Constans with Adagio members and guest Tony MacAlpine. In 2002, his album Confusion was remastered, and he also participated in the Taboo Voodoo project in the album Something's Cookin’ (2002). He collaborated with Michael Manring on A Place In Time (2008). Achard later focused on nylon‑string guitar, issuing Mayrig (2010) of original compositions and standards, and Violencia (2010) with electric elements. His work appears on Lion Music and Brennus record labels.
