Jozef Dumoulin is a Belgian jazz keyboardist born on April 27, 1975, in Izegem. He began studying classical piano, organ, and trumpet at age ten before discovering jazz independently at sixteen. After briefly studying psychology at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, he enrolled at the Conservatoire de Bruxelles and later studied in Cologne with John Taylor. Dumoulin is recognized for his innovative use of the Fender Rhodes and electronic effects in jazz. He released his debut album, Éclipse, with Barbara Wiernik in 2001. In 2009, he issued Trees Are Always Right, which received the Choc award from Jazzman magazine and was named a 2009 gold record by Crisscross. His discography continued with the 2011 trio album Rainbow Body and his 2014 project A Fender Rhodes Solo. Dumoulin has collaborated with numerous artists, including Mark Turner, Bill Carothers, and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra.
