Deströyer 666, an Australian extreme metal band, was founded in 1994 by KK Warslut as a solo project. The same year, they released their first demo, Six Songs with the Devil. Phil "Bulleteater" Gresik joined on bass in 1995, and the EP Violence is the Prince of This World was released on Modern Invasion Music. Their debut album, Unchain the Wolves, followed in 1997. The band's lineup evolved over time, with notable releases including Phoenix Rising (2000) and Cold Steel... For an Iron Age (2002). Deströyer 666's music blends thrash metal and death metal influences. Notable albums include Defiance (2009), which was followed by extensive touring in Europe and North America. The band released the EP Call of the Wild in 2018, featuring the single "Call of the Wild".
