Catherine Delavier, known professionally as Katrien Delavier, is a French harpist born on January 24, 1961, in Roubaix. She transitioned from classical to Celtic harp with nylon and bronze strings. Delavier's career included collaborations with Gérald Ryckeboer and Jacques Yvart, and she released her debut album La Harpe Irlandaise in 1992. She won first prizes at the Kan ar Bobl in 1982 and the International Harp Contest in Killarney, Ireland, also in 1982. She passed away on September 21, 1998, due to cancer.
