Alla Francesca, a French early musical group, was founded in 1989. Initially led by Pierre Hamon on wind instruments and Brigitte Lesne on vocals, harp, and percussion, the ensemble also featured Emmanuel Bonnardot on vocals and fiddle. All three members were former participants of the Ensemble Gilles Binchois. The group's repertoire spans from the troubadour era in the late 11th century to the polyphony of the 15th century. Alla Francesca released their album, D'amours loial servant, in 1999. Notable releases include Mediterranea (2009) and De Champagne's Le Chansonnier du Roi (2012). The group has collaborated extensively with the Centre de musique médiévale de Paris on research and educational projects. They have performed at numerous ancient music festivals worldwide and received the Diapason d’or award in 2000.
