De Boore, a German band from Cologne, was formed in 1998 under the name "De Boore" and later renamed to "Boore" in 2014. The group is known for their Kölsch dialect and frequent performances during Carnival season. The band achieved national recognition with their hit "Rut sin de Ruse" in 2003, which marked their first entry into the German Singlecharts, peaking at number 25. This success was followed by multiple chart entries between 2003 and 2008. In 2004 and 2006, De Boore secured second place in the WDR's "Super-Wunsch-Hitparade," earning them the "Schlagersegel" award both years. They also received the "bronzenen Gisbert" from SWR for "Rut sin de Ruse" in 2005. De Boore released their debut album Rut Sin De Ruse in 2003, followed by the single "So ein Tag so schön wie heute" in 2008. Their subsequent albums include Bella Colonia (2012) and the single "Dich einmol noch danze sin" (2014). The band has also collaborated with DJ Fosco on a remix of their song "Tschau mit Au." Notable members include Schlagzeuger Peter Kellershoff, who is one of the founding members and has been with the band since its inception. Other key members have included Karlheinz Lips (Gitarre), Bernd Hochheimer (Keyboard), Kurt Schoger (Bass), and Chris Koch (Frontsänger). The band faced a significant loss in 2019 when founding member Karl-Heinz Verbeek passed away at the age of 57, however continued to release singles, including "Wunder" in 2020 and "Feiern" in 2025.
