Maria Elżbieta "Iga" Cembrzyńska, born on July 2, 1939 in Poland, is a versatile artist known for her roles as an actress and singer. She began her academic journey studying philosophy at Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika in Toruń before transitioning to the National Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw, graduating in 1962. Cembrzyńska's early career included performances in prominent Warsaw theatres such as Teatr Powszechny and Teatr Komedia. Cembrzyńska is best known for her role in The Saragossa Manuscript (1964), directed by Wojciech Has, which marked the beginning of her extensive filmography. She also appeared in several films directed by her husband, Andrzej Kondratiuk. Her notable works include Salto (1965) and Ściana czarownic (1967). In addition to acting, Cembrzyńska has released songs such as Mówiłam żartem and Intymny świat. She also runs her own film company, Iga Film.
