Dina Magna Páucar Valverde, born 14 June 1969 in Tingo María, Huánuco, is a Peruvian singer whose career centres on Huayno and vernacular music. Leaving home at ten, she moved to Lima where she worked as a street vendor, domestic servant, and cosmetology student before entering music. Her breakthrough came with the 1990 single "Mi Tesoro", released on the album Mi Tesoro, which sold 120 000 copies in two weeks and established her as a prominent folk artist. Subsequent releases followed a steady chronology: Con Amor para Todo el Perú (1994), Apasionada (2006), Con Qué Derecho (2010), Soy Feliz (2011), Directo al Corazón (2014), Sigo Aquí (2016), Gracias por Tu Amor (2017), Existe el Amor (2019), Sin Fronteras (2020), Munay Allpa‑Chanchamayo (2021), and La Voz Divina (2023). She also released anniversary compilations in 2011, 2015, 2017, 2023 and a 2024 33 Años de Historia collection. Her notable song "Que Lindos Son Tus Ojos" became a cultural touchstone, later used in a presidential campaign. Dina Magna Páucar Valverde toured Europe in 2005, the United States in 2006, and performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru at Mexico’s Festival Cervantino in 2015. In 2008 she served as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, and in 2016 was named Lima’s cultural ambassador by the Ministry of Culture.
