Fomins & Kleins was a Latvian rock group formed in 2002, consisting of Ivo Fomins and Tomass Kleins from Liepāja. Both musicians were already accomplished before forming the band and had previously collaborated in the underground group Saldās sejas. The band's lineup also included bass guitarist Egils Mežs, drummer Valery Inutin and keyboardist Jānis Lūsēns Jr., and drummers Nellija Bubujance and Tālis Gžibovskis. Fomins & Kleins released their debut album Muzikants in 2003, which included the hit title track that became popular after their second-place finish at the Latvian National Eurovision Competition. In 2004, they won the national pre-selection with "Dziesma par laimi", representing Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. Despite finishing 17th in the semi-final, the group's success continued with their second album Dzimis Latvijā released later that year. The band disbanded in 2006.
