Hélène Guilmette, born in 1976 in Montmagny, Quebec, is a Canadian operatic soprano. She began her musical journey at age five with piano studies and later participated in musical theater productions during her adolescence. Guilmette's career took off after winning the third prize at the Concours Voix nouvelles in Paris in 2002 and the second prize at the prestigious Concours Reine Élisabeth de Belgique in 2004. Her notable roles include Cosette in Les Misérables, Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto, and Sophie in Werther. Guilmette has performed on major international stages, including La Monnaie, Opéra de Paris, and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. She released her album L’Heure rose in 2014, featuring French melodies from the 19th and 20th centuries.
