Jesper Løvdal, born on September 12, 1969 in Denmark, is a saxophonist known for his contributions to jazz. He began playing piano at age eight but later switched to saxophone after discovering it in 1983. Løvdal's early career involved participating in various workshops led by notable musicians such as Bob Rockwell and Tomas Franck.
Løvdal released his debut album Free Fall in 2008. Throughout the 2000s, he continued to release albums under his own name and contributed to artists like Ib Glindemann and Benjamin Koppel. Notable releases include an album under his band, Lovedale, titled Green Sounds in 2012. He has been recognized for his musical achievements, including winning the competition at the Festival in Gexto in 1998 with Out to Lunch and receiving the Culture Prize Award from the Frederiksborg County Council in 2002.
