Marc Hurtado, born in 1962 in Rabat, Morocco, is a French musician, director, and screenwriter. In 1977, he formed the group Étant donnés with his brother Éric Hurtado. In 2003, Hurtado released his first solo album, Blind Speed, under the Parisian label Fiat Lux, which included remixes by Exotica and The Hacker. He followed this with Wide Open, featuring Berlin-based singer Saba Komossa, in 2004. In 2010, he collaborated with Alan Vega on the album Sniper. Throughout his career, Hurtado has worked with various artists, including Michael Gira, Genesis P-Orridge, and Lydia Lunch. He also composed music for films such as Hotel by Jessica Hausner and Memento Mori by Mathieu Dufois.
