Smashed Gladys was an American glam metal band formed in 1982 in Toronto, Canada, before moving to Manhattan, New York. They initially consisted of Sally Cato, Bart Lewis, Ken Fox, and Matt Stelluto. Managed by Gene Simmons, the group recorded the debut album Smashed Gladys (1985) in Wales. They released the album Social Intercourse (1988), which featured the songs "17 Goin' on Crazy" (1988), "Eye of the Storm", and "Sermonette". In 2023, Smashed Gladys released the album Raw, a collection of demos from 1988 to 1993, plus four songs recorded in 1983 produced by Simmons. Cato passed away on May 19, 2020.
