Tuff, an American glam metal band formed in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona, was founded by guitarist Jorge Manos and bassist Todd Chaisson. In 1986, they released their first EP, Knock Yourself Out. Tuff signed with Atlantic Records in 1990 and the following year released their debut album, What Comes Around Goes Around, which featured the successful power ballad "I Hate Kissing You Goodbye". The video for this song reached number 3 on Dial MTV behind Guns N' Roses and Metallica. Despite being dropped by Atlantic Records in 1992, Tuff continued to release albums independently and through various labels, including Fist First (1994) and its reissued version, Religious Fix (1995). The band's compilation album, The History of Tuff, was released in 2001.
