Britt Hagen, born Brigitta Klingenhagen on February 22, 1944, in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, is a former German pop singer who emerged in the early 1960s. After placing third in the “Mädchen ans Mikrophon” competition, she secured a contract with Ariola, where producer Willy Hoffmann produced her debut single " Seerosen - Teerosen" in 1960. In 1961, Ariola issued her the single, "Sag adieu", a German adaptation of the French hit "Petite Fleur" with lyrics by Günter Loose; the track reached number 40 on the Musikmarkt Top‑50 chart. In 1962, Britt Hagen switched to producer Nils Nobach and relocated to West Berlin. Her stylistic shift displeased Ariola, who terminated her contract. She then served as the lead vocalist for Hajo Döring’s orchestra until 1988. Later, she operated a real estate firm with her husband.
