De Brassers, a Belgian post-punk group from the province of Limbourg, formed in 1978. The band consisted of Eric Poukens on drums, Marc Poukens on vocals, Ben Dekkers on keyboards, Willy Dirkx on guitar, and Marc Haesendonckx on bass. Inspired by punk rock acts like The Damned, The Clash, and PiL, De Brassers released their first single "En toen was er niets meer" in 1980. They gained significant attention after reaching the finale of Humo's Rock Rally in 1980. In 1981, they self-released the EP De Brassers, which included the track "And Then There Was Nothing More." The group disbanded in 1982 due to drug issues, but reunited for various performances and releases over the years. Notable albums include Gesprokkeld en Bespoten (2008), and Live at Doornroosje (2013). In 2016, De Brassers performed at the AB in Brussels for the 20th anniversary of the Rock Rally.
