Johannes Pramsohler, born April 5, 1980, in Sterzing, South Tyrol, Italy, is a baroque violinist, conductor, and record producer. He studied at institutions including the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Pramsohler's career began with performances alongside leading orchestras such as Concerto Köln and Les Arts Florissants. He won the 6th International Telemann Competition in Magdeburg in 2011 and debuted as a soloist with the Budapest Festival Orchestra in 2014. Pramsohler founded Ensemble Diderot in Paris in 2008, which released its first album The Dresden Album in 2014. His solo debut Pisendel – Violin concertos from Dresden was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards in 2012. He established Audax Records in 2013, which has since released over twenty albums. Notable awards include the Diapason d’or and Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik.
