Terry & the Hot Sox, a Swiss rock 'n' roll group, was formed in 1980. Their debut album, Rock’n’Roll, was released in 1981 under CBS (now Sony Music) and the band gained significant traction with their single "Hamburg" in 1982, which charted in Switzerland. Their second album, Shake Well (1983), included original material and the hit single "Chick-A-Little Cutie", earning them the Bronze Hammer Smurf award from the music magazine Pop/Rocky in January 1984 as the third most popular Swiss pop group. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Terry & the Hot Sox underwent several lineup changes but continued to release albums such as Real Rock Drive (1989) and From Schwamendingen to Broadway (2018).
