Sunhouse was a British band from Burton upon Trent, formed in 1997 with Gavin Clark on vocals. The group initially came together to provide songs for Shane Meadows' film Small Time, leading to the release of the limited edition EP Small Time and the single "Monkey Dead". Following this breakthrough, Sunhouse signed with Independiente Records and released their debut album, Crazy on the Weekend, in 1998. Produced by John Reynolds, the album featured acoustic-based songs augmented by strings and organ, earning critical acclaim including a five-star review from Uncut magazine. The band also contributed to Meadows' feature-length film Twenty Four Seven. In 1998, they released the EP Loud and Lippy, which included tracks such as "Animal".
