Frumious Bandersnatch was an American psychedelic rock band based in Berkeley, California, formed in 1967. Named after a character from Lewis Carroll's poem "Jabberwocky," their initial release was a self-produced three-song EP in 1968, featuring the underground hit "Hearts to Cry". The band included members David Denny, Jack King, Ross Valory, Bobby Winkelman, and George Tickner. Despite interest from record companies, they released only one EP during their active years. After disbanding in 1969, several members joined notable bands: Denny, King, Valory, and Winkelman with the Steve Miller Band, and in 1973, Valory and Tickner formed Journey. In 1996, their live album A Young Man's Song was released by Big Beat (UK).
