Max Weber Castro Miranda, born 3 August 1978 in Tambo, Ayacucho, Peru, is a Peruvian singer, composer and guitarist whose career began with a self‑recorded production at age twelve titled Busco a Huamanga. After receiving vocal training and selling personal instruments to fund studio time, he released his debut album Duele amar in 2000, which produced the single "Duele amar" and later inspired a 2003 film of the same name. In 2003 he followed up with the album Para Ti, featuring tracks such as "Tu amor no vale nada" and "Nuevo cielo". The 2006 release La Musa expanded his repertoire with songs like "Con el amor no se juega nunca" and earned him a spot at the 2006 Festival Multicultural in Canada, where he shared a stage with Eddie Santiago. 2011 saw the release of Buscando un Sueño, including "Antawara" and "Amor agonizante", and in 2013 he launched Max Weber Castro Miranda y la Gran Banda, a project that blended his compositions with a brass ensemble. Throughout his career, Max Weber Castro Miranda has toured the United States, Spain, Italy, and Canada, and collaborated with artists such as Gian Marco and Eva Ayllón, contributing to the international visibility of Peruvian folk music.
