Vaguement - NOUVEAU SINGLE le 07.05.2026
Gaëlle Méchaly embodies an artistic paradox as rare as it is precious. Alongside a prestigious career as a soprano on the world’s leading opera stages, Gaëlle felt a profound need to explore new territories and different facets of her personality. She made a bold choice: leaving a comfort zone where she had nothing left to prove to answer a visceral, inner calling. While Gaëlle Méchaly presents herself as an emerging artist, every word and every note of her songs bears the mark of a life entirely dedicated to music. Her universe navigates between French chanson d’auteur, film scores, and poetic electronica. Piano, vocals, and electronic textures intertwine to weave a singular emotion—the breath of a modular synthesizer, orchestral bursts, and vocal layers that expand the sonic space. This rich tapestry is brought to life through co-production with Martin Antiphon, a producer and 3D sound designer and alumnus of IRCAM.
Gaëlle Méchaly’s debut single - Comme dans un film de Sautet (l’album de famille) - echoes -La chanson d’Hélène- from Claude Sautet’s film - Les Choses de la vie-. Steeped in nostalgia, this intimate and cinematic French song pays tribute to an era, a style of filmmaking, and all those characters who shape our identities, becoming the sensitive film of her own life. Piano and vocals interlace with modular synths and electro-poetic textures, enriched by orchestral layers—violins, saxophone, and flute—to create a deep, enveloping atmosphere that captivates the listener from the very first notes.
