Evelyne Brancart, born in Belgium, is an American pianist. She studied under the patronage of the Queen of Belgium at the Chapelle Musicale de la Reine Elisabeth and became a laureate in 1971. Brancart's early training included studies with Eduardo del Pueyo and later with Maria Curcio, Leon Fleisher, and Menahem Pressler. Her breakthrough came with wins at prestigious competitions such as the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition (1975) and Montreal International Piano Competition (1976). Brancart has performed across Europe, America, Asia, and South America, collaborating with notable artists. Since 1994, she has taught at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and mentored pianists like Jonathan Biss and Jeremy Denk. She released Chez Chopin: 24 Études • 24 Recipes in 2011.
