Mili Nair, known professionally as Mili, is an Indian singer-songwriter and composer. She completed her schooling in Pune and earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English Literature, and Psychology from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Mili began her musical journey at a young age, completing grade examinations in Western classical voice with Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). At 16, she started performing live professionally with rock and jazz bands. In December 2017, Mili released her debut album Written In The Stars, which featured collaborations with veteran musicians Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Michael Landau on guitar, James Genus on bass, and George Whitty on piano/keys. She wrote and composed all ten songs on the album, which was recorded and produced in Los Angeles under the label Apostrophe Music. Mili's first single "Keep The Hope Alive!" was released on July 10, 2020, aiming to uplift spirits during the pandemic. Her breakthrough in film music came with A.R. Rahman, contributing vocals to songs like "Keda Kari" from Raavanan, "Maham Maye" from Komaram Puli, and "Parakka Seivaai" from Ambikapathy. She also collaborated with composer Amit Trivedi on the Hindi film Kai Po Che!, lending her voice to the track "Meethi Boliyaan", which earned her award nominations. Mili's performances on the TV series Coke Studio@MTV Season 2 further enhanced her recognition in the industry.
