Astronomy Class, an Australian hip-hop/reggae group from Sydney, was formed in 2006 by Ozi Batla (Shannon Kennedy), Sir Robbo (Shane Roberts), and Chasm (Chris Hamer-Smith). Their debut album, Exit Strategy, was released on September 30, 2006. The album featured notable guests such as Urthboy, Jane Tyrell, and DJ Skoob, and tracks like "A Bright Tomorrow" received significant airplay on Triple J. Following the release, Astronomy Class embarked on a national tour covering five states over three months. In 2009, they released their second album, Pursuit of Happiness, marking the International Year of Astronomy with guest vocals from Vida-Sunshyne and Ash Grunwald.
