Spit Syndicate, an Australian hip hop duo consisting of Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice, was formed in Sydney's Inner West. The group released their debut mixtape, The Future's Bright, in 2006, followed by an appearance on MTV Australia’s The Lair. In February 2008, they signed with Obese Records and released their first album, Towards the Light, which was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Urban Album. Their second studio album, Exile, debuted at number 81 on the ARIA Charts in May 2010. The duo continued to release notable albums, including Sunday Gentlemen (2013), One Good Shirt Had Us All Fly (2017), and Orbit (2018). Spit Syndicate also released several singles, such as "Starry-Eyed" (2010) and "Emperor’s New Flows" (2017), and collaborated with various artists. They released their fifth album, Orbit, in 2018.
