Nic Armstrong & The Thieves are an English rock band founded in 2004 by Nic Armstrong. Their debut album The Greatest White Liar was initially released under Armstrong's name in April 2004 and re-released in March 2005 under the band's moniker. Produced by Liam Watson, the album featured covers of "Down Home Girl" and "I Want to Be Your Driver." The band gained significant exposure through tours with Paul Weller and Oasis, as well as appearances at festivals like Coachella and Austin City Limits.
