Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw, a German boys' choir, was founded in 1983 by Hans-Jörg Kalmbach in Calw. Under the artistic leadership of Johannes Sorg from 2001 to 2007, followed by Bernhard Kugler in 2008, the choir expanded its repertoire to include both sacred and secular choral music. They performed regularly with notable orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic, under conductors including Claudio Abbado and Pierre Boulez. The choir's members also achieved success as soloists, taking on roles in operas like The Turn of the Screw and Tosca. Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw received the Record Academy Prize Tokyo in 2007 for their recording of Mahler's "8th Symphony" with Pierre Boulez.
