Masha Qrella, born Mariana Kurella in 1975 in East Berlin, is a German singer and songwriter. She began her music career as part of the post-rock movement in late-1990s Berlin with bands such as Contriva, Mina, and NMFarner. Qrella's solo career started in 2002 with the release of her debut album Luck under the label Monika Enterprise. She then signed with Morr Music and released several albums, including Unsolved Remained (2005), Speak Low – Loewe And Weill In Exile (2009), Analogies (2012), and Keys (2016). The latter, released in 2016, received critical acclaim. Qrella has collaborated with various artists and groups, including the Gob Squad performance group and theater director Stefan Pucher. Her music has been featured in several films and television series, notably Grey’s Anatomy and Töchter.
