The Stieber Twins are a German hip-hop duo from Heidelberg, Germany, that formed in 1983. The ensemble consists of the brothers Martin and Christian Stieber, also known as Marshall Mar and Luxus Chris, and are famous for being pioneers of the German hip-hop scene and for their influential beat production. They achieved professional recognition in 1992 after producing instrumental tracks for the album Alte Schule. Their first vocal recordings, “HipHop und Rap” and “Allein zu zweit”, appeared on the 1995 sampler Die Klasse von '95. The duo has collaborated with international artists including GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as German rappers such as Samy Deluxe, Max Herre, and Ferris MC. Their discography includes the studio recordings Fenster zum Hof (1996) and Speechless (2006). Since 2000, Martin Stieber has operated the hip-hop store The Flame in Heidelberg.
