Erin Headley is an American lirone player, teacher, and director of early music groups. She performed with lutenist Stephen Stubbs and Andrew Lawrence-King as part of the ensemble Tragicomedia, and later founded the ensemble Tirami Su. She has also regularly performed with flautist Nancy Hadden’s ensemble Circa 1500. In 2007, she founded Atalante, an ensemble named after Atalante Migliorotti, associated with the creation of the first lirone in 1505. Her recordings include work with Les Arts Florissants on music by Luigi Rossi and Claudio Monteverdi, as well as projects with Tragicomedia and Tirami Su.
