Dee D. Jackson (real name: Deirdre Elaine Cozier) was born on July 15, 1954 in Oxford, Great Britain. She is a singer and songwriter in the disco and electronic pop genres. In the early 1970s, Dee D. Jackson began her musical career as a backing singer. She initially worked in Italy and Germany. She launched her international solo career in 1978. In this year, she released the single "Automatic Lover". The song becomes her biggest success and reaches high chart positions in several European countries, including top 10 positions in Germany and other markets. Her debut album Cosmic Curves is released in 1978. The work combines disco with futuristic soundscapes and has a lasting impact on her style. Other singles include "Meteor Man" and "Galaxy Police". The album Thunder & Lightning followed in 1980. It contains songs such as "S.O.S. (Love to the Rescue)". In the following years, Dee D. Jackson released more music, but did not achieve the same commercial resonance as with her breakthrough hit. Dee D. Jackson worked with European producers of the disco era.
