Robert Coppola Schwartzman, born on December 24, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, is an American musician and actor. He formed his first band, Rooney, during his third year of high school in 1999. After leaving the band temporarily to attend Eugene Lang College in New York, Schwartzman returned to Los Angeles and signed with Geffen/Interscope Records in early 2002. Rooney's debut album was released in May 2003 and included notable songs such as "Blueside" and "I'm Shakin'". The band toured extensively, including supporting Weezer and The Strokes, and had a cameo in the TV show The O.C. In 2011, Schwartzman released his first solo album, Double Capricorn, with all proceeds going to the Tibetan Healing Fund.
