True Widow, an American rock band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 2007. They released their self-titled debut album in 2008 on End Sounds. Their second album, As High As The Highest Heavens And From The Center To The Circumference Of The Earth, was released in 2011 via Kemado Records and featured the single “Skull Eyes.” The band toured extensively, opening for acts such as Surfer Blood, …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Boris, Asobi Seksu, and Kurt Vile. True Widow’s third album, Circumambulation, was released in 2013 on Relapse Records, followed by their fourth album, Avvolgere, in 2016, also on Relapse Records.
