Herman Albertus Krebbers, born on June 18, 1923, in Hengelo, Netherlands, was a violinist. He began his musical journey at an early age, studying under Oskar Back at the Vereniging Muzieklyceum in Amsterdam. Krebbers made his debut with the Haarlemsche Orkest Vereniging (North Holland Philharmonic Orchestra) in 1937, performing Wieniawski's violin concerto. He went on to become concertmaster of the Arnhemsche Orkest Vereniging (also known as the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra) and later the Residentie Orkest (The Hague Philharmonic), and the Concertgebouw Orchestra. Throughout his career, Krebbers collaborated extensively with fellow violinist Theo Olof, forming a notable duo known for their performances of works by Bach and Bartók. Krebbers was awarded the Order of Orange-Nassau in 1958 and continued to teach violin, mentoring notable students like Frank Peter Zimmermann and Vera Beths. He passed away on May 2, 2018, at the age of 94.
