Jacob's Mouse, an English indie rock band from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, was formed by identical twins Hugo and Jebb Boothby on guitar and bass respectively, with Sam Marsh as the singing drummer. The trio initially played covers before transitioning to original material inspired by bands they heard on John Peel's radio show. Their first release, The Dot EP, earned them 'single of the week' recognition from Sounds magazine. Jacob's Mouse went on to support acts such as Nirvana and Carter USM, releasing their debut album, No Fish Shop Parking, in 1991 under their own Blithering Idiot label. The band signed with Wiiija Records and toured with Babes in Toyland before releasing their second album, I'm Scared, in April 1993. Notable singles include "Good" and "Group Of 7". Their third album, Rubber Room, was released in February 1995. The band disbanded later that year.
