BB Steal, a hard rock band from Sydney, Australia, was formed in the late 1980s by former members of BOSS: vocalist Craig Csongrady, guitarist Kevin Pratt, and drummer Peter Heckenberg. Their first single, "I Believe," failed to chart in Australia, leading them to shift towards a harder rock style. In 1989, BB Steal released their debut EP Heartbeat Away. In 1992, they achieved moderate success with the album On the Edge, produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard and recorded in Los Angeles and Montreal. The band embarked on an Australian tour with Def Leppard following this release.
